PROPOSAL LOCATION: Sunken Garden at Como Conservatory, St. Paul, MN
RING: Tiffany + Co.

Eric proposed to Lauren at the Sunken Gardens at the Marjorie McNeely Conservatory at Como Zoo. The annual holiday poinsettia show was the perfect, romantic, WARM place to propose in Minnesota in the winter!

Their journey together began in college. He was a student at the U of M, she was at Saint Catherine University. After a chance meeting at a house party, they traded numbers and went on their first date a week later. After 6.5 years, Eric devised the perfect plan to surprise his very plan-oriented girlfriend — it was going to be a challenge to catch her off-guard and he needed her friends’ help to pull it off!

They came up with the idea to trick Lauren into getting to the conservatory under the guise of a charity event. The girls all got dressed up and when they arrived at the conservatory, they were guided to another garden, but her friends decided to “sneak in” to take some selfies in the stunning Sunken Gardens. Eric hid outside, peeking into the windows through the tropical tree branches, waiting for Lauren’s back to turn. While the girls worked their distraction magic, Eric sneaked in right up behind Lauren, who was shocked to see him standing there. As the shock took over, Eric led her to the top of the staircase inside the garden and proceeded to get down on one knee, pulling out the iconic blue box that held the most perfect solitaire from Tiffany. SHE SAID YES!

After lots of laughs, tears, hugs and kisses, they shared their joy with Lauren’s friends and enjoyed the magic of the moment. After the proposal, they went Lauren’s parents, who were waiting with champagne to congratulate them. They facetimed Eric's parents in Wisconsin and called a bunch of other friends and family as they basked in the joy of their engagement. A perfect end to a perfect evening!

Congratulations, lovebirds!

Rachel + Corey | Riverfront Proposal at Dusk - Minneapolis Engagement Photographer

 Laura Robinson Photography | www.laurarobinsonphoto.com

PROPOSAL LOCATION: Central Mississippi Riverfront Regional Park, Minneapolis, MN

You never know where you will find your soulmate. For Rachel and Corey, that place was their college freshman English class. Fast forward 3 years and Corey was ready to ask Rachel to spend forever with him.

To plan this proposal, Corey and I were secretly exchanging texts, calls, maps, and ideas to make every detail perfect! As the proposal day drew closer, Mother Nature decided that rain was in the forecast… so we sneakily switched the date of their proposal one day earlier to avoid a weekend full of rain!

The morning of the proposal arrived and the weather was perfect. As they arrived to the park at dusk, the very last hints of daylight were touching the riverbluffs. With the iconic Stone Arch Bridge behind them, Corey dropped to one knee and asked Rachael to be his wife. SHE SAID YES!

Congratulations again, lovebirds! What an honor to be a part of such a perfect moment for you both!

Shaina + Jonathan | Loring Park Proposal - Minneapolis Proposal Photographer

 Laura Robinson Photography | www.laurarobinsonphoto.com

Planning a proposal from afar in a city you have only visited a few times can be a challenge -- especially when your future fiance is by your side 24/7 on a 5 month roadtrip!  Jonathan secretly planned to propose to Shaina when they arrived back in the Twin Cities to visit her family before taking off on a vacation.  We had one shot, one night, to pull this off!

After numerous emails back and forth (because we couldn't chat on the phone!), the plan was to take Shaina out for some handcrafted cocktails and then go for a walk through the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden.  Many screenshots of Google Maps later, we had a game plan.  The forecast looked touch and go, but the morning of the proposal, the radar was looking great for the evening's proposal.

The couple started their adventure off at Parlour, and enjoyed some of Minneapolis' top handcrafted cocktails and the famous Parlous burgers.  Then the winds shifted and the rain began and it seemed touch and go with whether or not this proposal would even happen as planned or if we'd have to come up with a new plan B on a whim.  A double rainbow graced the skies in the moments before the proposal.

Just as we were about to call for an impromptu Plan B.... the rain stopped and the skies cleared just in time for a perfect proposal!  After strolling through the Minneapolis Sculpture Gardens, the couple made their way through Loring Park and found themselves walking through a picturesque alleyway that reminded them of the beautiful architecture in Europe, where they had been living.

Jonathan dropped to one knee and asked Shaina to spend forever with him -- she said YES!  After lots of hugs and kisses, laughs and a few tears, they were greeted by family and close friends waiting at the nearby Cafe Lurcat.  It was the perfect ending to a perfect evening!

Congratulations, lovebirds!
