PROPOSAL LOCATION: Minnesota Helicopters - Anoka County Airport, Blaine, MN

When a man loves a woman, he’ll go to incredible heights to show her. Such was the case for Peter and Anne. Peter wanted to plan an unforgettable proposal and decided to take Anne up in a helicopter to show her the world. He also had a secret plan — include family in on the proposal as well!

We met up at the Blaine Airport and our awesome pilot, Noah, helped us pull off the secret — I was there taking photos for their new website and Anne and Peter were enjoying the ride. As we lifted off, we saw the skyline of Minneapolis and then headed over to St. Paul and saw all of the iconic landmarks from the sky. What a view!

When we landed, Peter pulled Anne in for a hug, just long enough for the family members to run out with a big banner and balloons, waiting for her to see them. When Anne left Peter’s embrace, she turned around and saw the proposal banner. After an ecstatic squeal of glee, she turned around to see Peter down on one knee, asking her to spend forever with him. SHE SAID YES! After being rushed by their loved ones, hugs and well wishes abounded, and a few bottles of champagne were popped as well!

Congratulations, lovebirds!

Shaina + Jonathan | Loring Park Proposal - Minneapolis Proposal Photographer

Planning a proposal from afar in a city you have only visited a few times can be a challenge -- especially when your future fiance is by your side 24/7 on a 5 month roadtrip!  Jonathan secretly planned to propose to Shaina when they arrived back in the Twin Cities to visit her family before taking off on a vacation.  We had one shot, one night, to pull this off!

After numerous emails back and forth (because we couldn't chat on the phone!), the plan was to take Shaina out for some handcrafted cocktails and then go for a walk through the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden.  Many screenshots of Google Maps later, we had a game plan.  The forecast looked touch and go, but the morning of the proposal, the radar was looking great for the evening's proposal.

The couple started their adventure off at Parlour, and enjoyed some of Minneapolis' top handcrafted cocktails and the famous Parlous burgers.  Then the winds shifted and the rain began and it seemed touch and go with whether or not this proposal would even happen as planned or if we'd have to come up with a new plan B on a whim.  A double rainbow graced the skies in the moments before the proposal.

Just as we were about to call for an impromptu Plan B.... the rain stopped and the skies cleared just in time for a perfect proposal!  After strolling through the Minneapolis Sculpture Gardens, the couple made their way through Loring Park and found themselves walking through a picturesque alleyway that reminded them of the beautiful architecture in Europe, where they had been living.

Jonathan dropped to one knee and asked Shaina to spend forever with him -- she said YES!  After lots of hugs and kisses, laughs and a few tears, they were greeted by family and close friends waiting at the nearby Cafe Lurcat.  It was the perfect ending to a perfect evening!

Congratulations, lovebirds!

Amanda + Justin | Surprise Proposal After New Home Closing - Minneapolis Proposal Photographer

Proposal Location:  The couple's new home in the Edina / Minneapolis area,  which they had closed on that morning!

Amanda is a Kansas girl and Justin is a good ol' Texas boy.  Over 8 years, they have found themselves in several states, dating long-distance and finally together here in the Twin Cities. When Justin decided he was going to propose to Amanda, he didn't yet know that a new home closing would soon be in their future!  As he made his plans and custom designed her perfect engagement ring all the way back in Dallas, the plans started to come together.

They closed on their brand new home on a chilly April morning.  Since all of their family is out-of-state, they decided that a photographer was a great idea to capture such a special time in their lives.  Justin and Laura had secretly planned out the "extra" activities of the photo shoot... and it went off beautifully!

As the couple stood in their brand new living room, Justin told Amanda that he had something he wanted to ask her... he spun her around and got down on one knee.  To Amanda's surprise, she had to ask him if he was kidding, as she wasn't sure if this was the "real deal" yet, as Justin had been known to prank her a few times before!

With the most beautiful ring in hand, Amanda said YES!

The living room was filled with an overwhelming amount of joy and happy tears, laughter, hugs and kisses.  The happy couple shared some more champagne and then Justin told Amanda all about how his master plan came to be over the last few months.  Amanda finally realized how all of the pieces came together and they retold their love story, while sitting in their furniture-less new kitchen.  They then took the time to call and Facetime with their parents and share their happy news!

With champagne and rose petals, the future Mr. and Mrs. took some fun photos inside and then headed outside to capture some images in front of their new home -- with a shiny new ring adorning Amanda's hand!  They also got to meet a few of their friendly new neighbors and finally sealed the deal with a smooch as they walked back over the threshold to their new home.

What a perfect day for such an incredible, loving couple.  Double the celebration, double the fun!

Congratulations, lovebirds!
