Beth + Tyler | Sophisticated Orpheum Theatre Engagement Session - Minneapolis, MN Engagement Photographer

Beth and Tyler just “click” together - their love is easily witnessed by all who are blessed to know them. What began as a match up became the fairy tale they’d both been waiting for. From those first butterflies to a surprise Stillwater proposal, their love story is woven with love, generosity, kindness and adventures… especially traveling to new places!

When we set out to plan their epic engagement session, one thing was certain — they wanted to incorporate their love of live theater. As season ticket holders at the Orpheum Theatre in downtown Minneapolis, their dream was to take photos on the stage where they had seen so many memorable shows … and those dreams were about to come true!

We had also wanted to venture out to Stillwater to commemorate their proposal, but the St. Croix River had flooded and the boardwalk was inaccessible… and then a sneaky spring blizzard threatened to jeopardize our grand theatre adventures! Thankfully, the staff at the Orpheum helped us to reschedule for an open date in between performance runs of different shows.

The new session day arrived… and once again, Mother Nature tried to get the best of us with one of those “spring showers” those old nursery rhymes warned us about. But these two were ALL SMILES! With a little creativity, we found ourselves traversing around St. Paul, with stops at the beautiful Como Conservatory, Union Depot and also the Minnesota State Capitol building before arriving at the Orpheum Theatre.

It was more than a bit surreal to be standing on a stage with such incredible history. Beth and Tyler showed me right where their seats were in the audience, and we even enjoyed a private tour of the theatre as we wrapped up our evening together. What better way to end the night than with a custom marquee outside the theatre!

Cannot WAIT for their beautiful fall wedding at Bavaria Downs! Congratulations, lovebirds!
